The Arai Pro Shade Shield System fits all current Arai helmets and any Arai helmet with the SAI shield. The Pro Shade Shield System includes the flip up-flip down visor installed on a new clear SAI shield.
To date, many helmets feature a retractable sun-visor located between the outer shield and inner shell to provide the rider relief from the sun’s glare. The engineers at Arai worry that this system may affect the performance of a helmet during impact, so the Pro Shade system was developed. This system is situated on the outside of the helmet and does not negatively affect the performance of the helmet during impact.
This system is ideal for the tour rider. Compatible with all weather, the Pro Shade System offers protection against sun flare, fogging, and misting.

Works well
The Pro Shade system works well. I would like it even more if the shade was a bit bigger with more coverage. Arai needs to have a Transitions shield, but since they don't this is a workable solution.

Salvation from the Sun
The visor works excellent really cuts the sun down. Easy to operate. Good visibility. Good optics. Very all increase in noise.
