Alpinestars Missile Leather Jacket Review and Sizing Info from STG

We feel the Alpinestars Missile Race Suit runs true to size as compared to most jackets on the market today. At 5' 11" 200lbs with a 32-33 in waist I wear a size 56 Euro / 46 US with an excellent fit with or without adding the Tech-Air Race Airbag System. The 56 Euro jacket fits me well with the Airbag installed, without the aribag it is a little looser than I like. If I had intention of adding the Tech-Air Race Airbag System to the jacket I would go with a size 54 Euro / 44 US to get the fit I prefer. - Brian Van
The Alpinestars Missile Leather Jacket will be hard to beat at $599, an excellent option whether you intend to add the Tech-Air Race Airbag System or not. All the stretch panels built into this jacket to accomadate the Tech-Air System allow it to conform to your individual shape more than jacket with less stretch will which results in a personalized fit that makes it easier to move around in. The jacket in the suit is top shelf, not just an afterthought.
The Missile Leather Jacket is perfect for any street or track day rider looking for a top shelf fully perforated leather jacket.
Fully CE certified riding garment. CE Certified protectors are found in the shoulders and elbows. PE padding is used in the chest and back (Alpinestars Nucleon chest protection available as upgrade).
This jacket is Tech-Air Race Compatible, it is sold separately and not included wiht the purchase of the suit.

The Missile Leather Jacket is anatomically mapped for optimized levels of improved performance fit and comfort. Constructed from a premium leather, this jacket has class-leading protective features inside and out, and is designed to accommodate Alpinestars Tech-Air™ Race airbag system. Due to its ergonomic engineering, this CE certified jacket can equally be worn on its own, resulting in a very versatile performance riding jacket.

Alpinestars Missile Leather Jacket Technical Features:
	Tech Air Airbag Compatibility: LED display on sleeve indicating airbag's operational status, plus internal conduit for system vest's ECU. Internal Hook and loop grip fixings plus cable conduits to seamlessly accommodate airbag system.
	Construction: Featuring an updated performance fit for improved anatomical profiling leading to greater comfort and fit. Compatible with Alpinestars' class-leading Tech-Air airbag system. The garment is designed with calibrated stretch gussets on rear to accommodate suit's inflated volume without compromising seam strength or material integrity. The jacket's ergonomic design means that it can be worn without the airbag system for a personalized fit. Ergonomic back hump is sculpted for better airflow and performance at high speed. Mesh liner construction for improved breathability, comfort and ventilation; mesh liner is safely held in position via hook and loop grip connectors on sleeves. Waist connection zipper allows attachment to Alpinestars riding pants. Multiple internal compartment pockets feature Hook and loop grip closure for additional security. Premium YKK zippers used throughout garment for durability. Reflective detailing for improved rider visibility.
	Protection: Alpinestars race-derived, CE-approved internal elbow and shoulder protectors. External (DFS dual density TPU) shoulder and elbow sliders offer abrasion resistance in key impact areas. Snap connection system allows integration of CE level 2-certified Nucleon Race Back Protector for the ultimate in protection (for use without Tech-Air system). Chest and back pad compartments with poly-foam padding (CE certified Nucleon chest pads available as accessory upgrade). This garment is CE certified. Removable security strap, keeps the jacket positioned in accident.
	Comfort: Alpinestars' Hyper-Res Stretch Fiber (HRSF) stretch inserts on back and underarms for excellent fit and movement. Interior waterproof wallet pocket for safe storage of documents/electronics. Strategically positioned perforation panels for maximum ventilation and suit breathability. Padded panels integrated into main shell and sleeves for improved fit. Soft 3D textured fabric collar construction for comfort. External, large-opening front hand pockets are zippered for peace-of-mind closure.

This is my first Alpinestars jacket but it definitely won’t be my last. The quality is top notch. I haven’t found any type of defect. I’ve found the size chart to be exactly right. The jacket fits perfectly through the chest and the stretch panels in the sleeves give them a great fit. Snug but not restrictive. I’m carrying around 20 pounds more than I should be but find the fit through my belly great also. I equipped the jacket with the TechAir Race vest and the installation and fit are perfect. If you’re on the fence just go ahead and buy it. You won’t regret the decision.
