Trying to improve one of our most famous products, the world renowned Tractech boot, was always going to be a challenge but the RST development team has delivered in 2026. We started off with a new inner foot profile, making the boot slimmer in the forefoot for easier gear changes, we then added in a new hard wearing toe slider, updated motion panels, a re-profiled upper and D3O protection in the shin and ankle. All together making a huge upgrade and an increase in safety to 2/2/2/2 IPA and IPS protection.
- CE Certification Rating: CE 2222 IPS IPA

RST TracTech Evo III D3O CE Boots
I recently purchased the RST TracTech Evo III D3O CE Boots and I'm very happy with them so far. I reached out to the STG team via chat for help choosing the correct size. I normally wear US size 10 / Euro 44 in my Alpinestars SMX-6 V3 Vented Boots, and they recommended Euro 44 in the RST boots. The recommendation was spot-on—they fit perfectly right out of the box. For reference, I don't have wide or fat feet, so if you have normal/narrow feet, Euro 44 should be a great match if you wear that size in Alpinestars, in my opinion. I haven't ridden in them much yet, so they're still breaking in a bit, but they already feel comfortable and show great quality in the construction. From what I can tell, they also offer more protection than my Alpinestars SMX-6 V3s, which is exactly what I was looking for. The price is excellent for the quality and protection you get — these boots offer serious value compared to other CE-rated racing boots on the market. Big thanks to the STG chat team for the sizing help. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely recommend these boots, especially for the protection and value. Pros: - Perfect fit with sizing guidance (US 10 / Euro 44 matches Alpinestars in my opinion) - Comfortable even before full break-in - High-quality construction - Excellent protection (feels more protective than Alpinestars SMX-6 V3) - Excellent price for the quality and protection offered - Helpful customer service via chat - CE-certified D3O protectors at key impact points (ankles, shin, toes) - Reinforced toe box and heel counter for added crash protection - Torsion Control System (TCS) for better ankle support and stability - Slip-resistant rubber sole with good grip on pedals and pavement - Profiled ankle protection allows natural flex while riding - Replaceable sole extends boot life and reduces long-term cost Cons: - Still breaking in (minor, expected with new boots) Would definitely recommend to other riders!

Good Deal
I wear Supertech R size 45 and Tech7 size 45.5/11. Most shoes size 45/11.5+. These RST boots are tight/snug with size 11.5/45. which fits like a 44.5/11 for me. the 46/12 fits well. seems like it runs 1/3 small. the 46/12 is bit lose on the heal but they are great boots for the cost specially. flows a ton of Air too.

great safety and price, meh fit
Top notch safety and great value, but the fit wasn't the best for me. I wear a US 10.5, and I thought the size 44 would be perfect. Turns out I need to stack an additional insole inside to get a snug fit. Otherwise the back of my foot is loose. I tried a size 43, but that was too short, and my toes got squished in the front. For context, the alpinestars SMX6-V3 size 43 fits me perfectly. On a sidenote, thank you STG for a seamless return process!
