    Very nice

1st of all…the price STG offered at the time I purchased was 20% -25% less than anyone else. Not sure how they do that. Received in PA within 4 days of ordering. They’re calling us back into the office 3 days/week so GTX will be used 90 miles round trip at highway speed. Sizing reviews are mixed on this suit and it’s expensive so STG let me order 2 sizes with the understanding I’d be returning one for a refund. They were cool with that. I considered an Aerostitch as well but it’s just too costly. The bike is a V85TT and the GTX matches its style. Size Medium fits my 5’9 height, 42 chest, 180 lbs, 34 waist, 31 inseam. Fit is roomy with protection removed and waist adjustment let out. With protection in and waist cinched the fit is snug, more tailored. Leg length is fine when in riding position. Legs are similar to skiing pants and unless you’re bow-legged they’ll rub when you walk. This is 1st one-piece for me so will take some getting used to. Fabric is very stiff/sturdy. Entry/exit times shown in online reviews are questionable. Maybe achievable one it’s worn in but new condition is taking about 2 times as long as claimed which is about 1-1/2 minutes. With protection out I can wear a quilted jacket and heavy cotton jeans underneath. Suit has no thermal insulation. Over a flannel and heavy jeans I felt a chill at 50 mph and 45 Fahrenheit. Suit was completely dry in heavy rain at 35 mph. Weight out of the box with all protection was 8lbs. Probably 5-6 pounds with protection removed. Setting aside the mandatory commute, I find I am riding a lot more because the GTX just goes over and provides weathertight protection for whatever you have on. All things considered and living in rural PA mountains where it rains a lot I think GTX is a smart, 3-4 season necessity for anyone commuting.
