Racer High Speed Gloves Review and Sizing Info from STG
The Racer High Speed Gloves run just a bit large when using their size chart. I measured out at 10.5" which would be a XXX-Large according to the Racer Glove Size Chart. After trying both the XXX-Large and XX-Large I found the best fit with the XX-Large. - Brian Van
The Racer High Speed Gloves delivered as advertised for me. I have ridden in them multiple times during the 2017 season (1st time was the Road Racing World 1000cc Superbike Shootout) and can report with confidence they are very comfortable, requiring almost no break in at all. The feel is excellent and I feel the level of protection is solid. - Brian Van

Seams Open Up
I love the fit and feel of these gloves. Unfortunately, however, my seamstress-capable wife has had to make three separate repairs to finger seams that opened up. The first repair was after wearing the gloves for two track days and two race weekends. The second repair was after a few more days of track use and, now, the third repair is after a total of only ten days of track use. Finger seams on both gloves have fallen apart. I haven't crashed, the gloves fit well and I don't have fat fingers. The problem is that the thread (cotton) on the finger seams breaks and then the seams unravel because of the nature of the stitch used. In light of what these gloves cost, this is really unacceptable.

I finally found a comfortable glove!
Each gauntlet glove I've tried from Alpinestars, Cortech, RS Taichi, and RST were OK in some spots, but uncomfortable in others (great fit in the thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers, but too short in the pinkie; great fit around my knuckles but too short fingertip to palm; etc.). I've read a couple reviews of the Racer High Speed gloves and decided to give them a shot. A wise decision! I feel the size chart is spot-on. My measurements were in between XL and 2XL, so I chose the larger size and these gloves feel fantastic! The Racer High Speed gloves look great and are incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend!

From Alpinestars to Racer
Last year I purchased a pair of XXL Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves. No knock to them; I’ve had plenty of A-stars gear with no issues. But the R3 just could not get me the feel I needed after 4 track days. Ended up calling STG and was recommended Racer. I ordered both an XL and XXL to see which ones fit best. The XXL had a little too much material bunch up in the palm, so I kept the XL. They fit like a second skin. I’m still waiting to get on track with them, but I’m expecting they’ll give me a few mm after some track time. So far very happy with the fit of the glove.

Still The Best.
I feel like when I got into riding some years back, I became obsessed with gloves right away. Honestly I feel like I have purchased every pair of the “top” brands, short cuff and gauntlet. I was spending hundreds of dollars on each pair almost weekly, but I never found one that felt like “the perfect glove” to me. Last year I found these Racer gloves. Nothing before has compared or come close to these. I am already on my second pair. Highly recommend giving these a try.

Very good gloves
Overall a very nice pair of well made and protective gloves. size appears true to the size chart. I bought size large which according to the size chart is good for a hand that measures 7.5 inches from finger tip to wrist. My hands measure 7.6”, so I knew going in the gloves might be a touch short in the fingers. Middle, index and thumb Fingers are indeed a touch short for my hands. For reference my middle finger measures 3.4375 inches from base to tip (ring finger side) and 3.625 inches from base to tip (index finger side). My thumbs measure 2.5 inches long and the gloves are also a touch short in the thumbs. The pinkie finger in the gloves has extra room which does not bother me. Internal seams on the top side of the fingers get caught up in my fingernails. This would probably not be noticeable except that my fingers are a bit long for the gloves. External seams would have eliminated this issue, though they don’t look as nice. I have taken one 90 mile ride in cool dry weather and all issues related to finger length are already improved. I suspect they will fit quite well after a few hundred miles. Five stars For protection, materials, and construction. Minus one star as these are only CE level 1 which is disappointing considering the price, and armor. These have Knox palm sliders on both medial and lateral aspects of the palm which is excellent. The lateral slider is an “L” shape which contacts the throttle. It’s not particularly obtrusive, but for street use, consider moving one glove down Racer’s lineup to the High Racer which has a rectangular lateral palm slider that has less chance of contacting the throttle. Overall I am happy with the purchase, and with the service from STG.

Not what I’d hoped for
Wore these one track day and a few times around town. Stitching has completely come undone exposing my finger. Emailed the company and they told me they would sew it back. Not exactly the answer I expected for the one year warranty and price. Learned my lesson and I do not trust these now. I will definitely just buy another brand and move on.
