The R&G rear axle sliders are designed to help save your rear brake caliper, disc, sprocket and swingarm in the event of a crash or drop. These swingarm protectors are fitted to your motorcycle with a high-tensile stainless steel spindle bar that simply goes through the rear axle. R&G uses high-tensile steel because the properties of this material bend rather than snap during an impact. To further protect those vulnerable (and expensive to repair) rear core components and keep them off the biting pavement, R&G adds high-density polyethylene sliders that screw onto the spindle bar with the included mounting hardware. If you do end up in an unfortunate mishap you can breathe a little easier knowing you're just going to have to replace the bobbins, not watch your mechanic tally up a huge bill.
