Ohlins BMW S1000RR 10-11 Steering Damper (Original Mount)

FITMENT NOTE: Ohlins dampers come either as "Original Mount" or another type of mounting configuration, such as "Across Mount" or "Side Mount". Original Mount dampers are designed to replace the OEM steering damper's mounting location, and re-use the OEM steering damper's mounting hardware. Mounting hardware is not included in the box with "Original Mount" damper configurations for this reason. If you do not have the OEM mounting hardware for your OE steering damper, you will not be able to complete the installation of an Original Mount Ohlins damper. All other mounting configurations include the necessary hardware to mount the damper.

Ohlins steering dampers are the highest quality steering dampers available. The piston-style damper (as opposed to rotary-style) was designed specifically with racers and street riders in mind. The dampers come in six different sizes and require a separate mount kit to install. Steering dampers can be purchased separately to be installed with custom mounts as well. The Ohlins steering damper keeps the oil under pressure to avoid free play. This and the three different offered systems give you smooth damping in all conditions. There are also 16 clicks of adjustability on all Ohlins dampers for maximum control. All Ohlins damper kits are made for specific bike models and come with all the necessary mounting hardware you'll need.
