Pretty much everything Van said it was. One of if not the lightest helmet. my scale said it was about a tenth of a pound heavier than Van's shipping scale (I have the same size) even without the chin curtain installed. I'll take 3.2#s. That's lighter than helmets costing much more. I got it for racing but tested it today on my street bike with more upright riding position. I noticed right away I had to tilt my head down a bit to see the instrument display on my '09 Aprillia Shiver partly due to the edge of the pinlock transitions shield installed. More on that in another review. I can tell when I'm in the head down race position field of view at the upper edge will be an improvement over my bell Star. Optics are also better than the Star even with the extra pinlock shield in place. It was rather warm today and I had all the vents wide open. I could feel air flowing over my head. It vents well. My head is 57.6cm. The medium fits snug. Not too tight and not too loose at all. Hopefully it won't loosen too much over time because I like it as it is now. I have an Arai Corsair, Bell Star and AGV K2. This is now my favorite helmet.
In summary, it's light, comfortable, has great optics and great ventilation. Save a few hundred bucks and get this helmet.
