1. Like a protective pair of skate shoes
Got these in size 8 and they fit my size 8E feet well: good for length and just the right room at the toe box that doesn't squish my toes. Toe protection is via a plastic cap that is open on top; it's not like a a safety toe shoe or boot that has a full dome of protection, but I feel that it's better than what other shoes offer with their "reinforced toe boxes" which are nothing more than hard leather at that part and nothing else. The soles are comfortable enough to be walking around in for a full day, and felt like they had good purchase on both the pegs and asphalt. Air flow seemed good when going at speed, especially noticable when I pointed my toes downwards or when I rested the balls of my feet on the pegs. The laces were just long enough to go through all the eyelets and tie the whole shoe up securely with not too much dangle.
