The Optional Y pipe fitted just right with my 16 R1. I love to optional 3rd bung with the caps to block off all 3 if needed. It came with all the pieces and very clear instructions.

Just got in mail today, 80% done just about 10 minutes out before I give it the final wipe down and start up. The servo motor removal was pretty easy I think the hardest part was getting my R1M carbon fiber section behind the seat off because of the position of those two screws that hold it down which was tricky given that my torx didn't have a magnetic attraction to the bolt and it went into a recessed area that was difficult to get started with my fingers! Great job Van, went off your videos and the schematic provided by Akropovic. Customer for life here.

If you are willing to pay, akrapovic exhaust products imo will always be perfect in regards to user expereince. flanges, alignment, slip fit and bolt holes are always absolutely spot on. Ive used akrapovic on 3 of my cars and now my bike. if you bought the slip on for the r1 you will be disappointed that the bike still sounds like a moped down low. You are going to need to remove the cat to get what you are looking for. Make sure you follow up with a tune and block off plates (which can all be sourced on this site). Would love to see them stock some bellypans on the STG website.

The Akro slip on and Link Pipe are very good quality parts. The fitment is spot on, the look and sound are very nice.

Really beneficial for performance to eliminate the Catalytic. Fit and finish are just as excellent as the muffler itself. Loves nothing to be desired. Excellent materials and workmanship. Excellent fit with ease and precision.

The Akrapovic link pipe is a great add on, There is a great weight savings and the sound is unbelievable. It makes my 2016 R1 sound like it performs. Like the rocket it is!
