1. Snug fit, tight space for Solo2 install
I bought this to hold my Solo2DL on my 2016 R1. The install was a piece of cake. It goes into the steering stem and sits the Solo2 right above the triple clamp. It essentially provides a plate for you to screw in your Solo2 and the bracket it came with. You need to install the Solo2 bracket onto the plate first to screw it down before installing the Solo2 and tightening its captive screws.
It's nice that the plate sits low to keep the Solo2 relatively out of the way, but it's really tricky getting your fingers beneath the Solo2 bracket for the leverage you need to tighten the captive screws to hold the actual Solo2 down. Space is really limited. Maybe there's an install trick for those captive screws I haven't figured out yet? Other than that everything fits snug and keeps the Solo2 install tidy.
