If you are riding your Ninja 500 on the street this no cut frame slider kit can help to protect those expensive OEM fairings in a slow speed tip over or crash. The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 500 Street Frame Slider Kit does not require the cutting of your stock plastics which is something most street riders do not want to do. Woodcraft did a solid job with the design of this kit to get a no cut set up that has the strength required to make a difference in a crash or tip over. We were impressed with the engineering and the finished product after they were installed.

We recommend this frame slider kit for street riders who prefer not to cut the bodywork. As with any offset no cut frame slider kit these would not be as effective as a direct mount (no offset) kit that requires cutting of the OEM fairings. If you prefer a higher level of protection and are ok with cutting the fairings we recommend going with the Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 500 Race Frame Slider Kit.

Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patented design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole

These sliders require NO cutting of the bodywork.

Comes with 50-1399 short slider pucks.

    Better than OEM

Posted by Nick on 25th Aug 2025

So, I was doing some tight circles on my stock Ninja 500 and the rear slipped. No biggie right? Wrong. Max lean at 5 mph was enough to snap the OEM frame sliders right off. Kawasaki couldn’t vouche for their own product so I ordered the woodcraft sliders. The delrin puck slides and the frame sliders protect as they should. Worth the money even if you have OEM frame sliders already. My wife’s ninja 500 has had to utilize the pucks (no speed drop) and they’re scraped but otherwise fine to keep using. If you think I’m lying, pull up a parts diagram and look at how the OEM sliders bolt on. Pathetic.
