I have owned several Scorpion helmets and I have to say this R1 is by far one of the best helmets I have owned. Scorpion has upped there game. This helmet fits great and is just as comfortable as my Arai and Shoei helmets. Overall finish is excellent, very satisfied!!

Happy with this purchase. Comes with clear and dark visor, pinlock which I have not tried. You can leave the visor unlocked which keeps it cracked open for better ventilation. ECE cert which is a plus in my book being more geared towards reducing brain injury vs snell. My last few helmets were Bell XL's and this helmet in XL is a very similar fit.

I have always been a fan of Scorpion helmets considering their bang for the buck. The EXO-R1 continues that trend for me. This thing is lighter, more stable at speed and flows air equally as well as the RF1200 it is replacing on my gear rack. The fact you get a pinlock shield and a dark visor is just gravy on top! I would also like better graphics options, but the corpus works just fine. I dig the reflective piping on the neck roll too.

The fit is spot on for me in XL which is what I wore in the RF1200. The helmet feels very snug and secure even without using the air bladder system. The materials are very nice, but the overall fit and finish may not be quite as good as the Shoei. That is very subjective of course. The dark smoke Shoei visor also works a little better in direct blinding sunlight. There is a little more wind noise than I expected and the tips of my ears start to ache after several hours in the saddle.

However, for its intended purpose in my closet for trackday or weekend warrior duty this thing is a homerun considering the pricepoint.

I usually purchase other brands of helmet. I was surprised how well this helmet fit, vented, and felt while riding. This is well worth the money for the helmet alone. The extras are a bonus!

Awesome helmet, great vakue for the money, great fit better than the hjc rpha 11. Hope Scorpion have better sick looking graphics soon like shoei and arai. I will buy more of this helmet if there are more choices.

Nice helmet. Very light.
Louder than expected with wind noise but very good ventilation.
Fit and finish is decent, but not perfect.
Sizing is right on.

I love this helmet, its comfortable and feels amazing on my head. Very light and I love the look. I have the Bell Race Star CF helmet which was 700+ and this has less wind buffeting than the Bell. For 400 dollars this is a win for me, sucks its not Snell approved but for me I can let it slide. Love how it comes with Dark and Clear sheild and both set up for the pin lock. Great air flow and ventilation. So far my favorite helmet out of the 4 brands Ive had from to include Arai, Shoei and Bell. If this helmet was Carbon Fiber and Snell certified I'd pay 700+ for it no problem. Thanks Joe for the awesome service as always!
