The Norton Racing Adjustable Rearset Riser Kit allows you to use the OEM rearsets for the Kawasaki Ninja 500 or Z400 and raise them up and move them back for a more aggressive riding position and increased ground clearance. These riser plates are designed by us for aggressive riding and racing and have a larger change from the OEM position than some other options on the market.

These riser plates are the result of extensive testing and racing with many different rearsets available on the market. We have narrowed the adjustment range down to a few positions that offer optimal ergonomics for a fraction of the cost of high end aftermarket rearsets. Adjustment range is similar to Evol Technology Race Version and Sato Racing Race Concept Rearsets. Simply bolt these adjustment plates to the OEM mounting locations, and then attach your OEM rearsets.

Adjustment options are (measured from OEM location):

  • 46mm up and 42mm back
  • 46mm up and 52mm back
  • 56mm up and 52mm back

These sturdy risers are CNC laser cut from 1/4″ thick steel to withstand the abuse of track use and racing. They are laser engraved with the Norton Racing logo and include all stainless steel mounting hardware. This kit includes a longer stainless steel shift rod that will allow you to use standard shift pattern or reversed (GP) shift pattern.

    These plates will allow you to relocate your OE rear sets rearward and higher. I adjusted mine 2.25 inches back and 2 inches up from OE. I elected to opt for the GP shift, (upside down shift pattern). No cutting of plastic on the shifter side. The brake side was a bit tricky. I decided to leave all of the brake assembly on the OE bracket. I didn't feel like it was necessary to take everything off. A little massaging of the steel brake line to give you room to stretch it rearward is required. The plastic guard covering the brake master and brake switch will need to be deleted. (Keep it in case you revert back to OE). I trimmed the brake hose from the reservoir 3 inches for a kink free performance. Fairly easy install! Solid materials. Fast shipping!
