Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2i Back Protector Insert Black

it's difficult to rate a piece of safety equipment in the middle of the winter when you haven't needed it's protection...what i can rate is the difference between the foam pad that came with my jacket and the kr-2i which is substantial...perception is reality and when you feel safer you ride with more confidence, like replacing a worn tire...zp...

I purchased the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-Ci chest Inserts to go along with my new Alpinestars Jaws Perforated leather jacket. Easy to remove the original foam chest protector inserts and install these. Very nice and noticeable difference in the amount of protection these pads offer but they did not take up any more room in jacket, the Jacket still fit just fine.

I have used the back protector in a Revit jacket in temperatures from 63-80 degrees. For the first couple of minutes, it feels like a board on your back. Then it conforms but doesn't wrap around you and it basically disappears. It also flows air better than my old foam protector. Good purchase.

Its very lightweight, very flexible, and very comfortable. The large fits perfect in my XL T-GP Plus Air jacket.
