I wore these boots around the house for about five hours on the first day they arrived and was comfortable the entire time. I had looked at some of the Alpinestars shoes because they looked more like street wear, but I was worried about fit, since I wear an 11B (narrow) shoe. I checked with STG, and Joe told me the Alpinestars run a bit wider than the Sidis, so I went with the Sidis, hoping they would be comfortable despite the increased armor. The Streetburners fit just like my other Sidi boots, and possibly a bit better due to the adjustment across the instep. These boots aren't all-day hiking boots, but if you intend to spend a fair amount of time off the bike as well as on it -- and you have a narrow foot -- these boots ought to do the job. The Sidi boot also offers much more protection than the low-cut Alpinestar street shoes.
