1. A little short of perfect
These gloves were the only gauntlet style glove STG had when I was in the store-I’m hoping they get more options soon.. the construction on these is really good and they are comfortable with moderate ventilation. They took a long time to break in with the Velcro flaps digging into my wrists on the first few rides. They are fine now, no discomfort.
My biggest issue is with the straps/flaps. Dealing with six Velcro flaps every time I put them on or take them off is a pain in the ass, and the small one on the wrist is too small to grab with your other glove on sometimes. I’m not a big burly dude, but somehow I barely have enough Velcro space to close the last flap on my right arm (I’m left handed, so my forearm is actually smaller in my right side) and it will occasionally come loose while riding if I don’t get the Velcro just right.
I wouldn’t recommend these unless you can see them in store and try them with your riding jacket on. Nice gloves other than the damned Velcro flaps.
