The Michelin Power RS Tires inspire confidence close to that you find in a full blown race tire. I have ridden on these tires at the Chuckwala Valley Raceway during the Roadracig World Middleweight bike shootout for 2017 and was impressed from the first corner. They warmed up fast, were stable in the corner and while braking with strong edge and drive grip. By the end of the day all of the bikes had a ton of laps on them and the tires showed very little wear.
My initial assesment of this tire was it was more of a high performance track day tire than a road tire. One of the reasons I felt that way was the RS does not have may groves to channel the water away in the wet and wet grip is essential on the street. After meeting with Michelin I learned the Power RS has more wet grip that the Power 3 or 2CT, both of which have plenty of groves to channel away the water. They explained the traction in the wet is determined by the compound of the tire more than the groves that move the water away. The new materials used in the RS simply grip more in the wet so it does not need as much rain siping at all.
To sum it all up if you ride a sport bike and like to corner low I would give the Michelin Power RS Tires go and see how they work for you and your riding style.

We have included a tire pressure reference below for both the street and race track that have been known to work well. If you choose to tune your tire pressures to your riding style it is best practice to begin with the street pressures the manufacturer of your bike suggest and adjust according to your riding style as needed. For long rides or prolonged high speed operation street pressures are recommended. Tire pressure adjustment is done at your own risk.
- Front: start with street pressures and adjust no lower than 31 psi cold
- Rear: start with street pressures and adjust no lower than 21 psi cold. If you find yourself spinning the rear tire excessively at 21 psi you simply need more grip and should move to a different tire that offers more traction.
