Just received for my 16 S1000RR and the outside looks great. But on the inside of the slip on coupler it looks as if it has been put on something before. Not sure if it is a return but paying for a brand new item I would expect to receive just that

This slip on was very easy to install, took about 10 minutes. At first it sounded about like my stock muffler until I took out the baffle. You need channel locks to accomplish this and I still scraped the paint on the inside a little.

Now my bike sounds like a fire breathing beast from hell! It is not stupid loud but definitely gets your attention. At lower RPM it has a deeper rumble and as you open it up it begins to scream. Downshifts sound awesome too. This model BMW backfires a lot. You get a loud pop when you shift too. These same characteristics are present with a stock muffler (you just have to listen a little closer) and on another BMW I rode with the Austin Racing slip on.

I didn't really notice a difference in power either way. I am having even more fun riding now than I did before though which is saying a lot. I highly recommend this product for the ease of installation, fun factor, and good looks.
