I was hoping that the carbon graphics were actual carbon visible through the design, but I mainly purchased the helmet for two reasons; lightweight and airflow. I currently have a Shoei X14 but have almost no airflow on the track and constantly finding myself overheating inside the helmet even on moderate days. The RPHA 11 has AMAZING airflow and can feel consistent air channeled across your head as well as in the nose/mouth area. But this comes at a cost, wind noise. The wind noise is so loud. I mounted the SENA 50S to see the sound difference as well. While you can clearly hear all of the music, phone conversations and mesh communications with the Shoei (which is also known as a loud helmet), you cannot hear anything from the speakers at any speed over 55mph.
The helmet is very comfortable, but one of the cheek pads keeps unbuttoning. Not sure why as it is a brand new helmet with the factory installed cheek pads. The button for the chin strap is also located almost next to your cheek making it difficult to button the excess strap away from your neck.
The visual field is very wide. Unfortunately, I have a bit of buyer's remorse with this purchase. It is extremely light and has the airflow I'm looking for, but would have rather had the full carbon or possibly the AGV Corsa or Pista.
