OK readers, Here is a 'pot hole' review. I have a 2nd Hand "First Gear" coat with the normal armor and some dumb foam thing in the back for' armor' You could use it to wash your scooter. So, I went searching for a back armor plate. Search is the word, everywhere. This firm used the chat line with me and found one that 'might fit'. "Might Fit" is the correct word. It did not even come close to fitting the coat. For most riders, it is time to return the product. Not this writer; the short story is I rebuilt the pocket in the coat that the armor fits into, to match the new armor. NOT a job for a beginner tailor's apprentice. It appears that First Gear does not sell the armor, so this whole project flows from that defect. The new armor plate meets all the new requirements, which is what I look for. Does it work? I do not know, and I hope NEVER to find out. But it is worth the $$ to stay as safe as possible, That is the final note of this review.
