1. WELL MADE
The first soft bags I had were too small. A rain suit would fill up one side. These bags are much bigger in their 'normal' config, and then they are expandable to give enough room for a full face helmet. There are two exterior pockets for gloves etc on each side [very hard to see in the pics] and an internal zippered pocket on the inside. Then, there are the shoulder straps for each side, rain covers, and separate 'hard' plastic expanders to hold the shape of the bag in normal config. I have been very impressed with the quality of design, materials, and workmanship of the bags themselves.
My only concern is the lower 'stability' straps, the straps that attach to the bottom of the bags to 1] keep them from flopping around from bumps and wind, and 2] provide a backup attachment point if the main support straps fail. This bag's lower system is a bungee cord. I would have preferred a web strap system with quick disconnects, I think. If necessary, I can easily come up with something.
Overall, I'm VERY PLEASED with these bags.
