I was looking for a race helmet that wouldn't break the bank. I watched the video for this model helmet and Brian mentions this model is appropriate for the track. Great! I spoke with customer service before ordering the helmet and stated that this helmet was going to be for racing and that I needed the most recent manufacture possible. I was told that the helmet shouldn't be more than a year old. I received the helmet. It fit fine and the visibility was good so I took it to the track. I was quite surprised to learn at tech inspection that the helmet only had a few months left before it would be too old to pass inspection. It was my mistake to take the word of a salesperson. Buyer beware. Double check the manufacture date with your own eyes before using any helmet regardless of price, especially if you are racing. You may end up having to buy another helmet.

Bought this gor my GF, originally bought an HJC CL-17, but she felt that was a little tight in a small, so ordered this. I was very impressed by the quality of this helmet at only $200. Very good fit and finish, SNELL rated, nice interior, vents look good, 10/10.

Just received in the mail so no riding review yet. Quality feel and looks is very nice. Comfort is exceptional. Fit seems spot-on

It seems that Scorpion has changed the internal shape of the R710 over that of the EXO700. I loved the fit of the old EXO700 and wanted so much for the R710 to fit just as well but it wasn't the case. But the new R710 feels lighter than its predecessor and the shield mechanism is a vast improvement. Snell 2015 certification and a chin skirt help to round this helmet out. If only my head was more round...

I have owned Shoei helmets in the past and recently crashed at V.I.R. wrecking my $600 Shoei. I am not a rich man, so with the push from a friend that races I decided to try a Scorpion EXO-R710. It was $400 cheaper than my Shoei and is also Snell rated. Much better than DOT. So my first impression from the helmet, it is well built and seems to have good quality. It fit a little different than my Shoei, as expected, but feels good. I like all the vents which does produce good airflow and the visor offers great anti-fog capability. First ride and the only thing I noticed was the noise. Not screaming loud but it was noticeable. I do not wear earplugs on or off the track but if you do, you will have no issues. I rode about 125 miles the first ride with this helmet and I adjusted to the added noise. Granted, the Scorpion is $200 and the Shoei was $600 so is it worth it me to get the same protection with less noise and spend $600? No....Although I loved my Shoei, may it rest in piece on my wall of shame. I will wear this Scorpion with confidence and spend the $400 I saved on other goodies from STG!

I purchased the Scorpion EXO-R710 as a track day helmet to replace my old HJC RPS 10. I chose the R710 for its construction, Snell 2015 rating, and its price. Once I took the helmet out of the box, all I could say was "WOW!" For an under $200 helmet, the R710 is awesome! The fit is spot on--I wear a small and the R710 fit great and snug (I like my track helmets to fit snugly). The liner is very high quality and includes the emergency release cheek pads (another plus for a track day lid). The vents provide plenty of air flow and are easy to operate while wearing gloves. The Scorpion shield is also a thing of magic--no fogging in cool and damp conditions. The only nit-pick that I have is a small whistle coming from the upper vents when my head is at a certain angle on the bike. Otherwise, this helmet rates right up their with my much more expensive HJC RPS 10. Great product!!
